Self-publishing

Standard

I’ve been self-editing, self-spellchecking, self-proofreading, getting one of my completed books ready to self-publish. Why? Well, mostly because it’s the easy way. As in, the way most likely to result in technically-published work. Why now? I kind of told people I was going to do it, way back at the beginning of the year, and now those calendar pages are getting pretty thin at the end. I’d feel bad if I didn’t get it done in at least one sense before the new year. Why this one? I guess of everything I’ve written, this one felt the most complete to me. So I had a cover made by one of the cheapest graphic artists I could find online:

Now, here’s the other thing – I know this isn’t perfect. But once it’s out there, that’s it. I can’t fix it now. If it sucks, or it has huge plot holes, those will be there forever, associated with my name. The advice is not to read the reviews, because those aren’t for me. They’re for other readers of the book. So enjoy if you like, and if you can find it once I get it up there, but don’t feel like you need to tell me what you thought of it, or even that you read it.
